- Morphology It is 40 to 70 cm. male and female are similar in appearance. The tail is short and ears are long. The fur color is grizzled yellow-brown on the back.
- Ethology It is nocturnal and solitary in nature. Hares are herbivorous and feed mainly on grasses and herbs. An individual female may have three to six litters in a year with a 41- to 42-day gestation period. It lives in most habitats.
