- Morphology It is similar to the gray wolf and has a pale creamy yellow to a dark tawny color. The tail end often seems to be cut. During running, it usually holds the tail down and between the legs.
- Ethology Golden jackals exhibit flexible social organization from a solo jackal to breeding mates and family groups. Packs typically howl which sounds like human screams at dawn and in the evening.
