- Morphology Body length:22 cm. It has a rounded head, long legs, andthe nape,upperparts and wings have white spots. The underparts are pale and streaked and barred with darker color. Eyes are yellow with white edges.
- Ethology During day it perches on buildings, lampposts and in open spaces. Its flight pattern is rising on quick wingbeats and dropping down on closed wings. When disturbed, it adopts a slim, upright position.
