- Morphology Body length: 19 cm. The legs and the base of the short bill are orange. They have a grey-brown back and wings, a white belly, and a white breast with one black neckband. They have a brown cap, a white forehead, a black mask around the eyes. They have a white wing band which can be seen during flight.
- Ethology It is a shorebird. This lively birdstands and watches, runs forward and pecks, and then stands and watches again.
