- Morphology Body length:56 cm. It is medium-sized.The sexes are alike but females are larger than males. Black kites can be distinguished from red kites by the slightly smaller size, less forked tail (visible in flight).
- Ethology It feeds on small live prey, carrion and food of other birds such as herons, Cormorants and insects.
