- Morphology Body length:33 cm. Thismedium sized partridge hasa compact body and a grey plumage andwell-marked black and white bars on the flanks and a black band running from the forehead across the eye and running down the head to form a necklace that encloses a white throat. They have cream and brown down, with pale undersides, the back is pinkish grey.
- Ethology They are particularly wary, if threatened, they run up the rocky hillside. They have noisy flights and they are gregarious birds.
