- Morphology Body length: 18 cm Its bill is 4 cm and is smaller than the other snipes.it has dark brown above with two white bars and a short tail with a pointed narrow end. Legs are short and dark green without bars on head.
- Ethology Jack snipe can be secretive in their non-breeding areas and are difficult to observe, being well camouflaged in their habitat. Therefore, they fly less. They then quietly fly 1 meter above ground for a short distance before dropping back into vegetation.
