- Morphology Body length:18 cm. It can be easily recognized by its black head and white cheek patch. The under tail coverts are yellow and the tip of the tail is white. The existing subspecies in the region is leucotis which has a very short crest.
- Ethology It is interested in feeding on sweet fruits such as date.
